IN MEMORY OF THOSE BRAVE AIRMEN AND SUPPORT GROUPS WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES AND WHO SERVED DURING WORLD WAR II FOR THE LIBERATION OF EUROPE. THE GROUP FLEW 308 MISSIONS, 274 FROM PODINGTON AIRFIELD 325th B.S. 326th B.S. 327th B.S. 407th B.S.

These are photos of the annual Memorial Day ceremony held May 26, 2002, at the American Military Cemetery at Madingley, just outside of Cambridge, England.

Major General Frank Smoker, retired -92nd Bomb Group (left), laid the wreath for the 92nd Bomb Group in the Annual Memorial Day ceremony. John Walker, president of the 92nd BGMA (UK) is on the right. The wreath was made by Mary Bassett.

92nd Bomb Group Memorial Association (UK) members in attendance were (left to right): Clive Bassett, Rita Herkes, Keith Herkes, Wendy Walker, Tony Joyce, Eileen Nottage, John Walker, Graham Clayson,Joan Joyce, Mary Bassett and Betty Clayson.
